Tickets to Weather the Storm
The team at Directional Data Systems have used their extensive knowledge of marine and outdoor ticketing to design and develop some of the most unique and sought after ticketing systems anywhere in the world. Our marine applications have become the industry standard for 'Roll On Roll Off' ferries throughout the UK and this trend is currently being replicated in Africa and Australia.
Our systems use an impressive range of electronic hardware and battery operated Storm® ticket machines to collect vital information. The machines use our own embedded software that has been programmed using our knowledge of specific marine and outdoor ticketing requirements. The portable machines overcome the lack of power supply and connectivity in remote areas, and the extreme physical environments that the machines have been successfully operating in over the past 16 years highlights their durability.
“We have a very long and friendly relationship with Totem. Their equipment has placed us at the forefront of marine ticketing technology. Their extensive knowledge of the ferry industry is reflected in the design and suitability of their machines and systems.”
Marjorie Beattie, Western Ferries
Totem® is also very proud of the relationships that we have built up with outdoor activities over the years. Our range of ticket solutions offers tried and tested, value for money systems, with an interesting array of features developed in response to industry feedback.
“Totem® have completely improved our operations, previously there used to be large crowds of visitors queuing to get in, but after installing the equipment, no-one waits for more than 5 minutes. Having used the equipment for 5 years, it has proven to be incredibly reliable over this time.”
